The Blue Blazers are nearly 100 dedicated volunteers united by purpose, passion, and pride in representing the Arizona Bowl — the only college football bowl game in the country where 100% of net proceeds go directly to Southern Arizona charities and non-profit organizations.
Our mission drives everything we do:

When football season arrives in Tucson, the Blue Blazers turn game day into something much greater — a celebration of teamwork, generosity, and community strength.
Who We Are
The Blue Blazers are a diverse team of professionals and community members — business owners, educators, entrepreneurs, students, and fans — all brought together by two shared passions: football and service. Each of us brings unique experience and enthusiasm, but we share one commitment: giving back to Tucson while having a great time doing it.
We take pride in being the heart of the Arizona Bowl’s community presence — connecting people, energizing events, and embodying the spirit of Southern Arizona.
What We Do
The Blue Blazers keep the excitement alive throughout the year, with our energy peaking during the holiday season as the Arizona Bowl approaches — typically held the last Saturday of December. We:
• Lead game-day operations to deliver an unforgettable experience for fans and visitors.
• Represent the Arizona Bowl at community events, pep rallies, and public appearances.
• Share the Bowl’s mission with businesses, schools, and civic groups across the region.
• Build relationships with the non-profits and local organizations supported by Bowl proceeds.
We serve as the Bowl’s ambassadors, public voice, and on-the-ground team ensuring every event runs with precision, pride, and purpose.
Membership
Becoming a Blue Blazer is by invitation only. Each year, new members are selected a few months after the Arizona Bowl to join the next season’s team. Ideal members:
• Show a strong commitment to community service and civic pride.
• Have availability to volunteer during the busy holiday season.
• Bring energy, professionalism, and teamwork to every interaction.
The Impact
Every event, handshake, and fan interaction helps amplify the Arizona Bowl’s mission. The result: millions of dollars donated to non-profits serving children, veterans, families, and community programs across Southern Arizona.
